The Protestant village church of Prieros is a neo-Romanesque hall church. The building replaced a baroque half-timbered church that had become so dilapidated in 1859 that security measures were necessary. In 1870 the parish decided to demolish the sacred building and commissioned craftsmen who built a new building between 1873 and 1875. A comprehensive renovation took place around 1982.

The interior of the village church is relatively simple and, with the exception of the altar, dates back to the time the church was built. The Baroque altar is designed as an aedicule and consists of slender columns supporting a wide entablature adorned with triglyphs. It dates from the 17th century and depicts Mary, the Apostle John, and Mary Magdalene beneath the cross in its altarpiece. The organ was built by the Berlin organ builder Wilhelm Remler. It has eleven stops across one manual and pedal. In 2008, it was restored by the W. Sauer organ building company of Frankfurt (Oder).
