Very nice hiking destination, also from the mountain station of the Patscherkofelbahn; if you choose the long way back to the middle station (Almenweg 1600), plan at least 3 1/2 hours of travel time. It is worthwhile to schedule the hike on a day on which the Patscherkofelbahn runs for a long time.

Since the Blue Lakes are quite remote in the mountains, they are still a little-visited insider tip. The beautiful panorama of the deep blue lakes and the towering mountains invites you to a nice rest.
