The Hallepoort is a former city gate in Brussels that today serves as a museum. The gate is located in the Little Ring of Brussels, at the end of the Hoogstraat and the beginning of the Waterloosesteenweg. Built in 1381, it is the only surviving Brussels city gate. It is also the last part of the former second city wall of Brussels that has been preserved.
The Hallepoort is surrounded by a park that bears the name of this building.

This only preserved city gate in Brussels - located on the small ring road between Place Louise and South Station - is more than 600 years old and is the most striking witness to the city's medieval past. Spread over four floors, in addition to the unique monument itself, the history of the city is also discussed. Climb the 169 steps of the Porte de Hal and enjoy the beautiful panorama of Brussels from the top of the building.
