A place with an extraordinary history. This ruin has a special meaning as a "replica" of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. Admission for adults is € 2. The facility is looked after by an association on a voluntary basis. Thanks!

The Krukenburg Castle ruins are a popular tourist destination. The keep is accessible, and from its viewing platform, you can enjoy panoramic views of parts of the northern Hessian hills and the Solling region, the old historic town of Helmarshausen and the monastery grounds, as well as parts of Bad Karlshafen. The view from the tower is truly magnificent.

Well worth a visit – highly recommended.

A large ruin with a wonderful view of the valley. It goes steeply uphill, a break is possible. A great photo object, the ruin is illuminated in the evening.
