On the 14th stage of the Camino Frances (counting according to "Rother") from Hontanas to Boadilla del Camino we pass the village of Castrojeriz with the impressive church "Santa Maria del Manzano".
The image of the main altar refers to the Feast of the Annunciation to Mary (feast day is March 25th, exactly 9 months before Christmas), when the angel of the Lord brought her the message that she was giving birth to the Son of God - Jesus Christ should. According to the account in the first chapter of the Gospel of Luke, this happened in Nazareth (Israel).
