Cabrera is a mountain of 1,308 meters that is located between the municipalities of Vall d'en Bas, in the region of La Garrotxa and Esquirol, in the region of Osona. It is the highest peak in the Sierra de Cabrer.

Cabrera is part of the Sierra of the same name, also formed by Pla d'Aiats, Les Vores de Masellera, Montcau, Puig dels Llops and Puig d'en Bac.
At its top we find the remains of the Castle of Cabrera, it was a finished castle that defended the Esquirol valley. The castle of Barrés depended on it, in the same municipality of L'Esquirol. There are very few ruins left, practically limited to the base of a round tower.
There is also a geodesic vertex and a reference round table illustrates the majestic 360-degree panorama: Montserrat, La Mola, Rasos de Peguera, Pedraforca, Puigmal, Bassegoda hill, Canigó, Albera, the Gulf of Roses, Montseny ... A superb watchtower!
