The Garchinger Mühlbach is a river in the Munich district of Schwabing-Freimann and in the town of Garching near Munich to the north.
The Garchinger Mühlbach, which is fed by the Mühlbach, separates from the Unterer Schwabinger Altbach at the beginning of the Schleißheimer Kanal, which is part of the North Munich canal system, at about the height of the emergency outlet canal and runs west of the Schwabinger Bach, bordering the Obere Isarau in the west, past the Freimanner Auensiedlung to the east, and crosses under the Munich ring road, where the Gießen branch off to the east near the Garching district of Dirnismaning, passes under the federal highway 471 and further north forms the eastern edge of the populated area of Garching.
It crosses the grounds of the Garchinger Mühle and lets the Wiesäckerbach branch off to the east north of the municipal orchard.
In the further course it approaches the Isar floodplain again and takes on the Giessen and the Griesbach.
It then crosses the university and research center in Garching, takes up the Wiesäckerbach again near the Garching sewage treatment plant and flows into the Isar after around 300 m. The length of the stream is around 13 km.
The amount of water is given as 2 m³/s.
