Swedbank skvērs is a relaxed square located right on the west bank of the Daugava, not far from the imposing Vanšu Bridge. From here you have a great view of the skyline of Riga's Old Town with its many towers and historic buildings. The wide riverside path invites you to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the peace and quiet by the water - a nice contrast to the busy center.

The modern Swedbank building is particularly eye-catching, its curved architecture forming a strong contrast to the historic buildings of the Old Town on the other side of the river. Here you can simply switch off, sit on one of the many benches and enjoy the view. The well-kept lawn area creates a relaxing atmosphere and even if you are just stopping off on your route, it is worth stopping here.

Although it is a relatively modern place, you can feel the proximity to Riga's history - be it through the view of the old city walls or the imposing bridges that connect old and new Riga.
