This is one of the nicest monasteries that I saw in my life. Please do not miss opportunity to see it, if you travel in the area.
It is hidden in the valley, which helped to preserve original frescos over the centuries.
Old church was built in 13th century by King Dragutin with front addition built in 18th century.
Monastery was damaged and rebuild multiple times over the centuries. Present frescoes are from 1622 and preserved incredibly.
Until 1951 monastery was run by the monks when was transferred in to the female convent.
