This park was laid out in the middle of the 18th century for spa guests. Together with the now-vanished "Parc des Quatre Heures", this public park formed one of Spa's two main promenades. The park has been under landscape protection since 1977. It is considered an essential part of the cityscape.

Worth seeing in the park are some trees, including a Fagus (European beech), as well as a water feature with a fountain and the majestic side avenues, which are surrounded by proud hornbeams, lime trees and elms and frame the main avenue. Also noteworthy are the 19th-century constructions that testify to the Eclectic style of the time (* processing various styles of the past): the Leopold II gallery in iron and glass, and the "Queen Marie-Henriette" and "des Petits Jeux" pavilions.

This public hiking park was created in 1758. It used to be called the 7-hour meadow or 7-hour walk. This name is due to the fact that kurists (or bobelins) came there at the end of the day to digest their abundantly drunk water!
