The Slessmynna stands in Maasholm on the Schlei. The Schlei estuary was named Slessmynna around 971 AD. The Slessmynna depicted here is part of a ship's hull, but only the front section is shown. The front part of a ship's hull is called the bow. At the ship's prow, a beautiful female figurehead is depicted. Figureheads were intended to keep ships on course and protect them from misfortune.

Slessmynna was called the mouth of the mucus around 971 AD. The Slessmynna shown here is part of a ship's hull, with only the front part being shown. A female beauty is depicted as a figurehead at the tip of the ship. I think that the figurehead bears a certain resemblance to Barbara Schöneberger 🤣
