On the slope of Jaworzyna Krynicka there is an interesting monument of inanimate nature - a sand rock called the Devil's Stone. It is located on the red and green trails towards Jaworzyna Krynicka, which run together along the downhill skiing route. It is distinguished by its original shape resembling a large mushroom with a height of approx. 6 m and a circumference of 3-8 m.

The monument owes its unusual form to the presence of sandstone of varying resistance to weather conditions. The main factors that shaped the rock were changes in temperature, freezing of water and the action of wind. As a result of these activities, the rock was eroded, which caused the less durable fragments to fall off from the main block, giving the present appearance of the stone figure.

An erosive monadnock and a form of physical weathering at the same time. A piece of Carpathian flysch. Most of the sandstone has survived because it is the most resistant to destruction. Devil's work 🙄
