The Marienkirche is a considerably large brick building from the 13th century (choir), 14th century (hall longhouse) and the 15th century (west tower). In the south aisle there are still remnants of the medieval painting.

St. Mary's Church in Barth dominates the entire cityscape and can be seen from afar.
In a side room, the stable in Bethlehem with the birth of Christ is recreated with wood carvings.
In the chancel you can see pictures of the twelve apostles, the birth of Christ and the Ascension by Karl Gottfried Pfannschmidt.
