The "Het Zwin" nature reserve stretches from the dikes of Knokke to the Dutch municipality of Sluis. It is one of the most beautiful natural pearls in Belgium. In May and June, the storks are the queens of the show! The reserve is home to many species of birds.

The Belgian-Dutch nature park is also often referred to as an international airport for birds. The Zwin is a very special place because there you can still see the natural transition from one biotope to the other: beach and dunes on one side - beach, silt area and grassland on the other. From the lowest areas in the silt to the highest points on the Groden there is a transition from moist to dry, from salty to sweet, from far too little influence by the tides.
