Lønne Church was consecrated in 1904. It replaced the medieval church, which had become so dilapidated that it was demolished. The old church was built of beach stone, tuff and granite and was located about 200 meters south of the current church. The location of the old church is marked in the old cemetery.

The new Lønne Church was consecrated in 1904 and built from tuff and granite from the old church. The old baptismal font was also used in the new church.
The church is located about four kilometers east of Nørre Nebel.
