On the nature-designed paths, you can comfortably walk through the enclosure in two to three hours and photograph, pet, or simply marvel at some 80 rare domestic animal species: the funny things they get up to during the day... I particularly like the park's setting in the hilly landscape of the Eider River catchment area at Lake Brahms. The importance of heritage breeds for biodiversity and cultural history becomes clear here.
The Warder Arche in the Westensee Nature Park is a very special animal park: It is Europe's largest landscape animal park for rare and endangered breeds of domestic and farm animals.
