Mulino Mengozzi is located in Fiumicello, a small hamlet a few kilometers from Premilcuore.

Abandoned in 1963 after centuries of activity, it was patiently restored by the owners, the Mengozzi brothers, who repaired and rebuilt all the structures. Thus, since 1993, after years of silence, the mill has resumed working in all its parts: from the electric current generator, to the small stone grinder used to grind blades and knives.

It was renowned for the milling of chestnuts and for the fineness of the flour that is still used today to make castagnaccio, a tasty dessert of the Tuscan-Romagna tradition, or chestnut tagliatelle to be seasoned with porcini mushrooms or truffles.
