The large Alden Biesen car park offers space for the many cars and buses that can be parked here on busy days. In addition, the well-equipped car park, which is decorated with beautiful trees, is your first vantage point over the Grand Commandery and an excellent source of information thanks to a series of information boards. Take a good look at them all from both sides because they contain, among other things, a map of the region with the various hiking trails, information about the little owl, a few things about the history and two panels full of information about the standard orchards, the evolution of the buildings and the surrounding nature with swampy valleys here and there. Much more information about all these - and other - elements can of course be found on the domain of the Grand Commandery itself, but also at the starting point of the nature walk to Bilzen, which is located just next to the car park behind a gate.

Ample free parking with interesting information boards. The information is very brief, but gives an idea of what to expect here. More information can be found a little further on in the tourist information centre in Amden Biesen.
