The "big stones" of Kleinenkneten, three densely located megalithic tombs, are among the most famous archaeological sites of the Wildeshauser Geest. Only here you can visit a reconstructed with Erdaufschüttung Großsteingrab visit (Hünenbett I) and within Lower Saxony you can only meet here on a Neolithic grave with three chambers (Hünenbett II).

The Kleinenkneter Stones are three neighboring megalithic graves south of Wildeshausen, of which graves 1 and 2 are among the most notable in Lower Saxony.
The "giant beds" of the Kleinenkneter stones were excavated from 1934 to 1939. More than 10,000 fragments of clay vessels, stone axes, arrowheads, amber beads, a small copper disk and a lamp with five burning holes were found.
