The Walder Käskuche is of course located in the municipality of Wald im Allgäu, and not in Görisried. It belongs to the neighboring Berghof Babel, a hotel with an experience restaurant and farm, as well as a show dairy and brewery. The Käskuche has a small but fine menu, which many hikers, cyclists, locals and car tourists use as a stopover, especially on weekends. When the weather is nice, there is a beautiful terrace with a view of the mountains. Inside, you are rarely separated from other guests, but that is also part of its charm. Inside the Käskuche there is also the show dairy and a small cheese farm shop. If you are traveling with your children, you should definitely go to the neighboring farm of the Berghof Babel and look at the animals there (first the farm with a puzzle tour for the children, then the cheese kitchen and a small prize for the solution to the puzzle tour).

By the way: Tobias Babel, who runs the Berghof with his two siblings and his parents, was named Farmer of the Year and Cattle Farmer of the Year in Germany in 2024.
