Ruins of the Castle of Valencia de Aneu. Cultural heritage with great history. We will walk the path that takes us to the highest point and we will enjoy the magnificent views of the Àneu valley.

The Castle of València d'Àneu is the last fortress to have the Catalan flag on its walls as an independent country. The castle is on a hill, almost 1100 meters above sea level. i.e. M. and dominates the entire Esterri de Aneu valley.
Currently only the ruins remain of this incredible fortress, but it is well worth the trip. Not only because of the history that surrounds the castle, but also because of the unbeatable view of the valley.

Where this castle used to be a prominent part of the landscape, now only the ruins can be seen. Enjoy the view here and you will immediately understand why a castle was once built here, regardless of its strategic location.
