In the vicinity of the cross under a beautiful linden tree there is the also worth seeing vantage point "at the Red Cross" - with a picnic table. Here you have a view of the Königsstuhl near Heidelberg.

The "Red Cross" was established in 1800. According to the initials, a married couple has thus kept a religious promise. In 1909, during a restoration, the original text was covered with plaster and only exposed again in 1978. In 2016 the cross was repaired again.
