In this clearing stands a massive, rounded stone with bosses, a medallion and inscriptions. It is the forestry memorial, which was erected in 1921 in memory of the forestry workers who died in World War I. The memorial was later supplemented by several sandstone columns bearing the names of the forestry workers who died in World War II.

The forestry memorial to the fallen workers in World War I is one of the cultural monuments in the Dresden Heath. In 2012, three pillars were added to the area for the fallen forestry workers in World War II 1942-1945.
