Zonser Grind is a nature reserve on a peninsula on the Rhine, north of Zons, to Stürzelberg, and on the left bank of the Rhine across from Düsseldorf-Benrath. Coming from the south, the Rhine is diverted to the south-west; The area encompassed by the Rhine is almost completely under nature protection and consists of fertilized hay meadows and rows of hybrid poplars in which oriole and little owl can be found. A large proportion of the area was declared a water protection area, which is fenced off from the street.
