The sandy beach on the Costa de la Luz in the Andalusian province of Cádiz is around 1,200 m long and 40 m wide.

Long and shallow, La Fontanilla not only offers good bathing conditions but also plenty of space for beach cafes and restaurants. A narrow strip of vegetation separates it from the built-up area. It is wonderful to stroll along the promenade, especially in the evening, when the sea turns from red gold to orange.

Beachgoers will find golden, fine sand and moderate waves on site. Surfers are particularly happy about the occasionally stronger wind. Long wooden walkways take you comfortably and without too much sand in your shoes to your favorite spot on the barrier-free beach, where the quality mark "Q" certifies the quality of the beach.

La Fontanilla offers you a wide range of facilities and services: these include toilets, showers, rubbish bins, lifeguards and telephones. A team of beach cleaners work tirelessly and sun loungers, parasols and water sports equipment are available for hire. In addition to beach cafes and restaurants, you will find hotels near the beach.

Playa La Fontanilla is easily accessible by bus and car via the CA-3208 and there is ample parking. Conil Marina is 10 km away.

Viewpoint "Mirador del Jabiguero" - The statue "Jabiguero" shows a fisherman in a former art of fishing, today this technique is no longer used.

Next to the monument are benches, from which you have a beautiful view over the kilometers of beaches in front of Conil de la Frontera and the Strait of Gibraltar. In the evening you can enjoy the sunset from there - if you do not feel like having a sundowner in one of the beach bars ... :-)

The staff at the beach bar is proud Spanish (you could say: slightly arrogant), but location and value for money top - perfect for a sundowner:
- Gin Tonic / Aperol Spitz: 6,50 €
- Water (bottle of 0,35 l): 1,80 €
-1 glass of white wine: 2.20 €
