        Wooded summit where you can relax in the shade.
        A fragment from our hiking experiences in Hochsauerland.
        A fun, playful suspension bridge is a highlight in itself. Bridges connect landscapes. This 'suspension bridge' mainly connects people. It is the weekend and the suction effect is not lacking. Big and small, everyone wants to get over it quickly. The crowd barometer goes into the red and like a hare we stamped ourselves, along a narrow deserted forest path, to the top of the Saukopf - 750 meters high.
        Once we reach the top, it seems like the finish of some mountain stage. Cycling enthusiasts, who suffer from excessive fluid loss (sweating attacks), are still proud that they have climbed the top in record time.
        We let the 'recreational sports heroes' of one day enjoy their slim figure and meager success.
        Without disturbing their success story, we quietly drip along the edge of the forest to the 'Wittgensteiner Panoramaweg'. There we hoped to catch a glimpse of the bison that have their habitat here. Unfortunately, the passing cycling peloton has disturbed the bison's habitat and they are not at home. Six Waldsculpturen bring some solace and distraction on our way back to Schanze.
