Rodheim is characterized by an intact town center. Old building fabric has always been lovingly renewed. Many half-timbered houses from the 16th and 17th centuries have been preserved, as well as two old school buildings, court estates of the lower nobility, the office of the Count of Hanau, a 15th-century church tower, the stylish Protestant parish church and the site of the former synagogue - everything really worth seeing. Lovingly designed information boards can be found everywhere along the entire tour of the town.

The building originally belonged to the “Junkernhof”. The image of evenly arranged window axes is enriched on the upper floor by window cornices and iron parapet grilles. The originally existing shutters are only preserved in some cases. The predominant horizontal orientation of the building is contrasted by a roof turret in the middle of the building and ridge.

The late-classical school building built by district master builder Süffert was the town's school from its inauguration on November 30, 1864 to 1999 and since 2001 a day-care center.
