The Podlasie Herbal Garden was founded in 2007, although preparations for its creation began at the beginning of the 90s of the last century. In 2011, it obtained the status of a Botanical Garden and a member of the Council of Botanical Gardens and Arboretums in Poland. The garden gathers mainly medicinal and aromatic plants. Currently, it has about 1,500 taxa, including 85 species under strict and 13 partial statutory protection.
