"Monument complex with a statue of Otto von Bismarck on a high central plinth, flanked by four large bronze figures or bronze groups. The statue of the Chancellor stands on a highly polished red granite plinth that rests on a three-tiered red granite substructure. This substructure has a rectangular shape with apse-shaped bulges on the front - and back at the height of the statue, here there were formerly six bronze reliefs, of which only a few bronze rosettes are still present as mountings. Begas depicted Bismarck with a helmet and in his cuirassier overcoat, in which he used to go to the Reichstag. In his left he holds a saber, he holds his rights over a document representing the founding of the empire. "

Otto von Bismarck (1815-1898), Chancellor of the Reich from 1871 to 1890, fought Catholics and socialists and nevertheless introduced the most progressive social laws in the world.
