Clarke Quay is a nightlife district on the Singapore River.

From the early 1800s, Clarke Quay served as a dock for loading and unloading cargoes for the warehouses and trading houses along the Singapore River. After relocation of the harbor activities, the district went through a decline.

In 1989 it was declared a National Monument Reserve, renovated and transformed into a commercial and entertainment district.

Clarke Quay is a historic riverside in Singapore, located around the Singapore River area. It is located upstream from the mouth of the Boat Quay and the Singapore River. Clarke Quay has so many attractions that you can literally spend a few days there without getting bored. It is a must for tourists and locals.
