The former Eisenstädter Gloriettewarte was built in 1957 by the ÖTK (Austrian Tourist Club) near Eisenstadt's Parapluiewiese. After renovation of the observation tower no longer made sense, it was finally closed in 2011 for security reasons and subsequently demolished. The new observation tower was reopened on September 15, 2012 as part of a forest festival. The 16-meter-high, roofed Raiffeisen anniversary waiting room offers a wonderful panoramic view and can be reached via a staircase with several small intermediate staircases with window openings.
A sign in the immediate vicinity indicates that the Gloriettewarte was built by the Austrian Tourist Club - Eisenstadt Section in 1957 and that the observatory is 351 meters above sea level.

Reachable in about 10 minutes from the parking lot at the Alm. From the observation tower you have a wonderful all-round view. Great view of the Neusiedlersee.

From the viewing platform there is a wonderful panoramic view of Lake Neusiedl, the Alps and even Hungary. A photovoltaic system was installed on the pitched roof in order to operate a camera that can be controlled via apps directly from the mobile phone; the panorama can thus also be experienced from the base of the tower.
Information boards and brochures provide visitors with everything they need to know about the history of the recreational and natural area.

The former Eisenstadt Gloriettewarte was built in 1957. After a renovation was no longer possible for the aging control room, it was closed and demolished in 2011 for security reasons.
The municipality of Eisenstadt decided to rebuild the control room together with the Association of Friends of the Eisenstädter Schlosspark and with financial support from Raiffeisenbank Burgenland. The new control room was opened and inaugurated on September 15, 2012 as part of a forest festival. The new control room is made of larch wood and 16 m high.
