Nowadays the market place is predominantly a place of enjoyment and relaxation. The once-full-size cars that polluted the air have been banished. Tourists and Kulmbacher stroll past the Luitpold fountain, look towards the renovated clubhouse opposite, to the baroque town hall facade or up to Plassenburg.
