Enjoy the beautiful view of the citadel.
Follow the arrow-marked trail of about 1 km over the ramparts: you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and at the same time delve into the history of the citadel through explanatory signs, videos and quizzes. There is a game booklet to familiarize the children with fortification construction. In July and August, torchlight tours are organized to let you discover the citadel in a different way!

Museum of Fortifications: this museum aims to demonstrate the richness, diversity and importance of Meuse's military architecture heritage from its origins to the end of the 18th century. You will see models of defense works, old weapons, aerial images of fortified places in Meuse...

The Jules Bastien-Lepage museum pays tribute to this portrait and realistic painter who was born in the 19th century in Damvillers, not far from Montmédy. Chronological frieze of the artist's life and also a few sketches from the beginning, then a series of paintings with portraits or scenes from rural life.
