It is much quieter on the west side of the Dümmers than on the opposite side on the east bank. This may be due to the wide silting zone, which makes the lake barely accessible here. The exception is the Olgahafen. Here you can step directly to the water and everything that wants to see the west side meets here.

At Olgahafen, a pavilion with overview maps provides information about the area, including its bike paths and nature trails. On the lakeshore, rotating "seating blossoms" as well as seating and lounging areas invite you to relax and enjoy the view. The observation tower and a viewing pier with two pavilions offer a panoramic view of the lake and the reed beds on the western shore.

On weekends and holidays, there's always something going on here, with delicious ice cream, the obligatory fish sandwiches, and tasty fish and meat dishes at reasonable prices.

To the northwest, belonging to Dümmerlohausen, is the so-called Olgahafen. The name was given to the daughter of the Oldenburg prince, who visited the small harbor pier when it was inaugurated in the 1940s of the century before last. Boat rental, eel smokehouse, restaurant, playground and the well-known “Youth and Leisure Center” - which is often rented by large groups and school classes - invite you to visit the Olga harbor.
