The Kumkale Martyrdom, built for the first time in 1983, is currently being renovated. As I passed him, I saw his version under construction. Although it is dedicated to the 14th battery personnel who opposed enemy forces who landed on this beach on April 25, 1915 and were martyred by ship bombs on April 28 and 30, it commemorates nearly 1,500 martyrs who died in of the region died. I think it will be even more beautiful when it is renewed. Martyrdom is located on the new Kumkale coastal road that is open towards Güzelyalı. Here the martyr is comparable to the German hero or the fallen.
