The historic old town of Vannes has largely been preserved. Here you walk through a medieval world that can not only be seen at the magnificent Place Henri IV. Take some time to explore the city - there is so much to see. One of the residences of the Dukes of Brittany was integrated into the city wall and today you can stroll along the walls in the Jardins des remparts. At the Porte Poterne you finally come across the old, excellently preserved wash house of Vannes. The marina is located at the gates of the old town.

The square is right next to the cathedral and still shows many of the old half-timbered houses.
