ハイキング
The city of Wolfenbüttel owes its name to the former moated castle of the same name. Where the moated castle once stood, the castle now adorns the cityscape. And the Wolfenbüttel waterways of that time are no longer available, with a few exceptions. A signposted tour, panel 1 to panel 19, shows the places where water used to shape our cityscape. ハイキング
The brewery building was built around the year 1600. The Oker flowed here as an approx. 4 meter wide canal along the front of the building. The bridge to the south was one of the most important in the city, it connected the new with the old Heinrichstadt, and the Holzmarkt with the Kornmarkt.
