The red-brown, steep rock massif cannot be overlooked. You can also bypass the rock massif at the very bottom of the path along a path. I would strongly recommend this to anyone who is inexperienced. You shouldn't underestimate this via ferrata! The difficulty cannot be seen from the pictures. If you still dare: the entrance is a part of the way, easy to miss. The via ferrata has the difficulty level C / D with passages B. Large parts go vertically and then almost vertically upwards. There are also three passages with slight overhangs.
The rapid change in weather in the mountains is often underestimated. 😳 Halfway up the via ferrata, that's exactly what happened & unfortunately it then started to rain 🌧. 😬 As a result, the rock became partially completely smooth ❄️ and there was hardly any support to be found. 🤦♂️This made the via ferrata extremely difficult (D / E) and one of the most difficult things I've ever done in my life. So be sure to pay attention to the weather forecast. If it is not clear and stable high pressure weather, then please do not walk on the Rosskopf 🙏 !!!
When you have reached the summit cross of the Rosskopf, the descent follows after the grade. The way back is around the Rosskopf - better not down the scree, not such a good idea! It is now about 1 hour to follow the path to the mountain station. To the right of this is a well-managed hut 🛖 - you have now earned the beer 🍻 (non-alcoholic 😉), soup 🍲 etc.
