The Klug'sche Mühle or Wilensteiner Mühle, like some of the former mills and hammer mills, is a gastronomic facility. On the way through the valley of the Moosalbe including the Karlstal Gorge, it offers an ideally located stop.

The Klug’sche Mühle is the fifth station on the Eisenhüttenweg in Karlstal. It is the oldest mill in the Moosalbtal and has changed hands several times over the years. Between 1842 and 2014 the mill was owned by the Klug family, who also ran a restaurant.

The Klug'sche Mühle is the fifth station on the Eisenhüttenweg in Karlstal. It is the oldest mill in the Moosalb valley and has changed hands several times over the years. Between 1842 and 2014, the mill was owned by the Klug family, who also ran a catering business, among other things.
The mill appears for the first time as the Bannmühle of the County of Falkenstein. No data are known about their history and the first years of operation. The only thing that is certain is that it is the oldest mill in the Moosalb valley. The grain from the farmers in the surrounding communities was ground in the Bannmühle on the Moosalbe. The landlords had the sole right to build and operate this mill. It was mainly used in the Middle Ages as a grain and oil mill for Wilenstein Castle and the surrounding villages.
