The Leopoldsteiner See is a mountain lake in Styria, about four kilometers northwest of the city of Eisenerz. It is located 628 m above sea level at the foot of the sea wall in the western Hochschwab group. The lake is 1400 meters long and 370 meters wide, its deepest point is 31 m. The Seebach flows through the lake, but it is mainly fed by underground springs.
Here you have plenty of opportunity to cool off by swimming in the lake after the long hike to Hochblaser. The entry is initially shallow, then it gets deeper, with some very cold spots when swimming. Many day trippers take advantage of this bathing opportunity.
