In the 19th century it was attached to the bath house known by Can Rius. It is known that in 1867 there was a tribune in the spa that communicated with the chapel where mass was celebrated daily. This servitude held by Narcís de Sans i Rius, owner of the spa, and which allowed bathers to see and hear the holy mass, ceased in 1906 because the chapel was also used as a repository for corpses.
The chapel was closed to worship at the beginning of the 20th century, becoming a garbage warehouse.
