Lac Vert is located on the Tanet massif at an altitude of 1,053 meters. Its surface area is 7.2 hectares. It owes its name to the reflection of the fir trees which surround it and to an algae which proliferates from the end of June to the end of July.

Sometimes, on Sunday mornings, you can hear the sound of alphorns adding to the magic of the place. The lake is easy to access, you can park your car nearby (access via the road from Munster to the Col de la Schlucht and forest road from kilometer 12).

Suggested route: Lac Vert and Lac du Forlet via the ridges (two hours).

Lac Vert is located at 1,044 meters above sea level and covers a total area of approximately 7.2 hectares. The intense green color comes from algae, which grow strongly and quickly, especially in summer.

Lac Vert is a truly very green lake (at least in June), bordered on one side by a small dam, which is also the site of the short path along the lake. The path around the lake is much more beautiful, offering frequent views of the lake and a few benches for a short break. On the other side, the path climbs steeply upwards and includes a small waterfall. There's also a (certainly unofficial) swimming area along the circular trail.
