The Liether Moor is a protected landscape area and offers many natural resources. Four associations are active here: Liether Moor care association, Liether Kalkgrube care association, Klein Nordende hunting association and the association for extensive robust cattle keeping.
The municipality of Klein Nordende has therefore commissioned the development and implementation of a path and information system in the form of a nature trail. This is an approximately 14 km long network of paths with 3 overview boards plus flyer boxes, 24 information boards, 29 signposts and a viewing platform with paths covered with water.
Interested visitors can start at three starting points. At 24 stations, information is provided about the Liether Moor, the Liether Kalkgrube and the flora and fauna. For this purpose, an overall design concept was created and coordinated with the responsible authorities.
