About 4km below the town of Huez is the entrance to the small pass road in a westerly direction.
nice secluded small and quiet street.

Very nice alternative via the Balkon d'Oisan to Lac du Chambon. Much less traffic and no major tunnels with wonderful views compared to the main road. Only the last bends to Chambon have to be driven on the larger road.

From Bourg d'Oisans you drive up towards L'Alpe Huez. Just after bend 16 you keep right towards La Garde.
The road continues to climb and is narrow in many places. Cars can hardly pass here. You will also come across 2 tunnels that are unlit, but because of the low traffic they are not a problem.
