Exactly on the border between the area of Harsleben and Quedlinburg, a large stone lay for centuries at the intersection of the Heerstrasse to Westerhausen and the main road to Quedlinburg (via Münchenhof and Gröpern). This was also where prisoners were officially exchanged between the two areas.
At some point the old red stone disappeared - and nobody knows what happened to it. Now there is another stone at this historic place. There is actually nothing to see - apart from a more natural, beautiful view over the fields to the Harz Mountains. Of course there is also a bank!
