The old town hall (Historisches Rathaus Husum) is on the north side of the Husum market square, at Großstrasse 27, and was built in 1601. The historic town hall, built in 1601, is a listed cultural monument
and is at the heart of Husum's town history.
The Husum Tourist Information is currently located on the ground floor.
Over time, several restorations and renovations have been carried out, which have been adapted to the needs of the time. The main entrance is on Großstraße, directly on Husum's market square. There is a second, barrier-free entrance in the castle corridor.
In the basement of the old town hall, the Ratskeller Husum is a restaurant in an impressive historical setting.
The core of the old town hall in Husum was designed by the architect Peter van Mastricht and built in 1601. In 1702, the open staircase was built and the roof turret was added. Renovation work took place in the second half of the 19th century and in the last quarter of the 20th century, among other places. The roof and tower were most recently renovated in 2017.
