El Capricho de Gaudí, built between 1883 and 1885, is one of the first works designed by Antonio Gaudí. It is also known as Villa Quijano. It was designed under the influence of oriental art and Arabic architecture. A beautiful place to visit in the heart of Comillas. The ticket price includes a guided tour in Spanish.

This villa is extremely fascinating in many ways! It just seems to have sprung from a playful, creative spirit with all colors and shapes avoiding right angles as much as possible! But if you look behind the colorful facades, you will discover the most modern and forward-looking technology and the deepest knowledge of biology and nature!
The sun's heat is best used to warm the rooms, windows and shutters have sophisticated mechanisms. The windows even make a sound when they are pulled up and down. Many shapes, such as the door buckles, are highly aesthetic and perfectly adapted to the ergonomics of the hand!
It is really worth taking the time to visit even during a pilgrimage!
