Witton Country Park is a beautiful 480 acres (194 ha) of mixed woodland, parkland and farmland to the west of Blackburn. It is the legacy of the Feilden family who lived in the once grand Witton House, which has since been demolished. The Pavilion cafe is a good option for a brew and a slice of cake, while there are numerous pretty picnic spots.

There's plenty of wildlife to keep an eye out for. Woodland birds, such as the nuthatch and great spotted woodpecker are present all year round, while the warmer months see wildflowers and butterflies enjoying the sunshine.
