Broadway Tower is a unique castle in a breathtaking location. At 1,024 feet (312 m) above sea level, it's the second highest point on the Cotswold escarpment and boasts spectacular views that stretch into 16 counties. The ‘Saxon’ tower was the brainchild of Capability Brown and designed by James Wyatt in 1794 in the form of a castle. It was built for Lady Coventry between 1798–99. You can buy tickets to visit the tower.

The tower never served any specific purpose other than impressing the neighbours.

If using a road bike, the car park at the top is all gravel/stone and hard to cycle on. You'll need to walk to get to the tower which is about 200 metres away. Also worth getting up there by sunrise for a satisfying ride.
