The former castle pharmacy is located at Schloßstraße 6 in Augustusburg.

It was first mentioned in 1518. The house belonged to the musician Simon Fischer.

1568 to 1727 The owners changed frequently. The house owners were employees of the Electoral Office of Schellenberg, e.g. clerks and bailiffs.

1728 After it was purchased and partially demolished, the house was rebuilt by master tailor Johann Andreas Schneider. Since then, the external appearance has remained unchanged.

1760 to 1827 During this period there were many owners, e.g. linen weavers, lawyers, pewterers.

1841 The pharmacist August Wilhelm Beyer bought the house and the
outbuildings and set up the castle pharmacy.

1859 to 1945 The castle pharmacy changed owners several times, including Julius Otto Mulfinger ran the pharmacy from 1884 to 1909.

1945 to 1963 After the end of the war, pharmacist Erich Peltner reopened the "Schloßapotheke" and ran it until 1963.

1963 From April onwards, the pharmacy was placed under state administration and renamed "Stadtapotheke Augustusburg".

1991 The Treuhand managed the pharmacy for a short time. Pharmacist Johanna Kaiser ran the pharmacy and moved it to Marienberger Strasse 3 in 1995.
Since 1997, the pharmacy has once again borne the traditional name Schlossapotheke.

1995 to 1996 The Thomas Lindner family bought the building from the Treuhand
and renovated it professionally. Since then, the family has used it as a residential and commercial building, the "Alte Apotheke Augustusburg".

2023 There is currently a holiday apartment in the building that can be rented.
